Who are we ?

The Heron Foundation

Established in early 2018, in Switzerland, the Fondation Héron is focused on improving the lives of people suffering from hearing and vision impairment.

As preventable vision and hearing loss is generally linked to poverty, the foundation’s primary focus is developing countries seeking to expand visual and auditive healthcare access.

Our values

  1. To communicate the important values of generosity and kindness that are essential to the founders and collaborators.

  2. To give a broader purpose to our employees and partners by allowing them to think beyond their own personal scope for something more fundamental, essential and relevant.

  3. To promote corporate social responsibility and to give back to society.

« The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention. »
— Oscar Wilde

Our founders

The  founders, Charline and Daniel Abittan are fully committed to meeting the highest level of professionalism in all future missions on behalf of the Heron foundation. Their dedication and engagement to social philanthropy over many years combined with their commitment to family values will guide the development of the foundation in the future.

In this effort they are joined by their four sons, Jonathan, Jeremy, Benjamin, Yohan, and Lionel Halperin. The Fondation Héron works with many foundations and other partners to expand their outreach activities for a positive impact on as many lives as possible.

The Abittan family is committed to the long term future of the Fondation Héron and to the essential initiatives of bringing hope and happiness to children in difficult and challenging global environments through auditive and visual intervention.

The founders commit their personal energy, as well as human and financial resources to assure the success of the missions.

The Fondation Héron encourages partners and friends to join us on this journey.
